What kind of music will the choir be doing?

Celebration Community Choir will perform a wide variety of Gospel styles.

Who is the Director?

Celebration Community Choir is directed directed by Ron Cochran. Ron served as the Music Director at Portland Christian Center for over 30 years. He also produced and directed Portland’s Christmas Celebration, featuring 300 singers and live orchestra, reaching over 15,000 people annually.

When and where will the choir rehearse?

Weekly rehearsals will be held on Monday evenings at 7PM at The Neighborhood Church in Tualatin, 21065 SW Stafford Rd, Tualatin, OR (Just off 205).

How long are the rehearsals?

Rehearsals will start at 7:00PM and normally conclude by 8:30PM

Who can join?

We welcome singers with varied musical backgrounds. Whether you previously sang in a High School Choir, College Choir, Church Choir, Vocal Team or Ensemble, this choir is for you! You will be challenged by the music, and inspired by new friendships.

Auditions?

No audition is required for this choir, however previous vocal music experience is a must. Please list music experience on the application.

Is there an age requirement?

This choir is open to singers 18 years of age and above.

Do I need to fill out an application and make payment before I can attend a rehearsal?

No. Everyone is welcome to attend a rehearsal before deciding whether or not to officially join the choir.

Do you have to live in the Tualatin area to be in the choir?

No. The choir is open to everyone, regardless of where you live.

Is there childcare?

We are unable to provide child care at this time.

Is there a cost to participate?

We have done our best to minimize the cost to participate in Celebration Community Choir.  Membership Dues help us cover the expenses needed to maintain an effective choir. Membership Dues for the 2025 Season will be $75 (most community choirs charge an average of  $150 - $300 per season). An invoice will be sent to you once your application is approved. Membership is limited to 160 singers.
